« Surprise Charge »

Lots of mosquitoes in the night. In additional to the charges I paid when booking this room, we are charged 20 euros per person for "cleaning" fees. What a joke!

« Great little apartment near the ferry to the airport »

Great little apartment for a few nights. Only a 5 minute walk to the Ospedale ferry stop which is 3 stops (45 minutes) from the airport. And a great spot to jump another ferry for the beaches on the Lido or boat around to the tourist core of the Rialto. Great little bakery across the street and fruit vendor.

Only big negatives was the key pickup. The person responsible for the keys had terrible English and couldn't communicate between a bus and a ferry. After many hurried texts and calls we got to the nearby ferry stop only to be told to meet at the front of the Ospedale (Hospital). After walking around it with our luggage to find what we thought was the front door the key person was then waiting at the door to the apartment. So, yes, stressful communication with lots of luggage after travel but after that it was all smooth. Also, make sure you get instructions about hot/warm water in the shower. Had to run the sink in the bathroom to get warm water to the shower and this took a few days to get clear communication about.

Overall, the issues were far outweighed by the great little apartment and chill location.
